1920-26 Oxford

Introduction

This was the second Oxford model. Launched for the 1920 season, it shared a common chassis and engine with the more basic Cowley model of the same period. The 11.9hp engine produced by Hotchkiss et Cie, was of the same basic design as the Continental Type U used for the 1915-19 Cowley. By 1923 Morris had bought out Hotchkiss. From January 1923 onwards, a larger 13.9hp engine was offered as an option. This was a bored out version of the 11.9hp engine.
