1935 Oxford Sixteen

Introduction

The Oxford Sixteen (and the larger engine Oxford Twenty), replaced the Oxford Six for the 1935 season. The change in name reflecting Morris policy to number models according to their engine rating and where required the number of cylinders. Both the Oxford Sixteen & Twenty shared a common chassis & bodies with the 1934 Oxford Six they replaced, with the Sixteen being a direct replacement

1935 Saloon (sliding head) Special coupe Engine: 2062cc, 6 cylinder, side valve, 15.94hp(RAC) Morris QD (home) QE (Export).
Clutch: single-plate cork insert running in oil. Bendix Automatic.
Gear Box: 4 speed.
Ignition: coil.
