The Series 3 Twelve was one of a range of four vehicles,
Ten, Twelve, Fourteen and Twenty-Five, launched at the 1937
Motor Show. Unlike the other three models, the Twelve used a
new design body, with a 4 inch shorter wheel base than
the Series 2 model it replaced. Passenger compartment space
was maintained by positioning the rear seats over the back axle
and with the provision of a boot with external access.
An overhead valve
engine, mated to a dry plate clutch and a four speed gear
box, produced a fraction under 12hp (RAC).
